Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Dr. Charlie Brunson relocated to Western Colorado in 2006. He trained in cardiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. His interest in interventional cardiology took him to Philadelphia, PA where he completed an interventional fellowship at Drexel University.

Dr. Brunson practices general cardiology but also specializes in cardiac angioplasty and stent procedures both for stable coronary disease as well as acute heart attacks. In addition, he also helped start the structural heart program on the Western Slope. Currently, he performs transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures for aortic valve stenosis.

Dr. Brunson is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
